This year, it looks as though the switch from plastic gift cards to digital is definitely coming, especially since e-gifting delivered $4 billion in spending in the US, an 8-fold increase from 2012. With gift cards being a hot item during the holidays, it will be interesting to see how the results pan out for the 2014 survey.
